DOROTHY PIERSKI, 74, formerly Dorothy Porter, of Memphis, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2007, at Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital Germantown after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8at Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Ms. Pierski was a graduate of Tech High School in Memphis. She was employed and retired from Union Planters after more than 25 years of service. After retirement she was a faithful volunteer at Saint Francis Hospital. She was a communicant of Church of the Resurrection. She leaves a nephew, Dr. Scott Greer, his wife, Dr. Lee-Anne Greer and their daughter, Anikha Elizabeth Greer, from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. She leaves a stepson, Marvin Pierski, and his wife Pam, and three grandchildren, Nick, Savannah, and Madison, all of Somerville, TN. She leaves three stepdaughters from the Illinois area, Shelly Starky, Pam Mecagni, Roz Bianchi, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Inez Taylor.
