By 1911 the school was called The
Memphis Vocational High School and had 72 students in grades 7 to
10. In 1917, it became permanently located at 317 Poplar a building
that it would occupy for 12 years. In the same year, Mr. J. L.
Highsaw, who had been a classroom teacher, became principal of the
school.
It
is not known if there were Yearbooks or other student publications
during this period. If anyone has any information pertaining
to the Memphis Vocational High School years, please contact
Rob Jolly.
